Competence
- Perfect is the enemy of good, so goal setting what right looks like is incredibly important
- Outcomes always outweigh the inputs, if something isn’t working no matter how much effort we’ve put into it, we kill it and move on to focus on the desired outcome
- You get what you measure, so we measure only the most important things
Trust
- We need to know what we need to know, don’t know and figure that out, then figure out what more we don’t know, and figure that out too. If someone doesn’t know something that’s important to our outcomes it’s everyone’s responsibility for them to be taught and informed
- Overcommunication is always better than under communication, we fail and succeed together, we’re all on this journey together, so everyone should know where we’re going, why, and how we’re supposed to get there
- When something isn’t going well we speak up, and when something is going well we speak up. Positive and negative feedback loops need to be present for “hive mind”.
Passion
- If we care about our products our audience will too. If we don’t care deeply about what we’re doing, why should anyone else?
- We care about our people. We acknowledge that you can’t be 100% energy all the time, we have to take care of each other and be willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. We’re only as strong as our weakest element, so it’s everyone’s duty to keep us strong.
- We are enthusiastic about what we do, and we want to share it with the world. We’re not here to keep or build secrets, everything we do, and everything we learn is for all of us.
